Escape to the Welsh countryside and discover Llwynbrain Farm House, a wonderfully spacious four-bedroom farmhouse sleeping up to 10 guests, surrounded by rolling countryside near Bancyfelin.

With sweeping rural views, generous rooms, two log burners and plenty of space for everyone to spread out, Llwynbrain is made for family holidays, celebrations, get-togethers and countryside adventures. It feels wonderfully peaceful and secluded, yet you’re well placed for exploring some of the best beaches, castles, walking and cycling that Carmarthenshire has to offer.

🏡 Inside Llwynbrain

Step into the spacious kitchen, well equipped with everything you need to prepare anything from a quick breakfast before a day exploring to a relaxed family Sunday lunch.

Adjoining the kitchen is a useful utility room with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer – particularly handy after muddy walks, cycling adventures or days at the beach. Beyond the utility is a ground-floor shower room with WC and a large walk-in shower featuring both an overhead rainfall shower and handheld shower.

Continue through to the large dining room, where there’s seating for all 10 guests around the table. With a cosy log burner and lovely views across the valley, it’s a fantastic place for long breakfasts, family dinners and evenings spent together.

From here, step into the wonderfully spacious yet cosy open-plan living room. Sink into the comfortable sofas, light the second log burner and settle down in front of the 40-inch TV. Blankets are provided for those cosy evenings, while a selection of books and board games offers a welcome excuse to switch off from everyday life.

Or simply grab a cup of tea, sit by the window and enjoy that beautiful countryside view.

The entire ground floor benefits from underfloor heating, large windows and an abundance of space and natural light.

🛏️ Sleeping up to 10 guests

Head upstairs to four comfortable and generously proportioned bedrooms.

The principal bedroom features a king-size bed and its own ensuite shower room with a walk-in rainfall and handheld shower.

The second bedroom is particularly spacious and features two double beds, making it ideal for families.

A further bedroom provides two single beds and a wardrobe ,while the fourth bedroom has a king bed, and plenty of space to relax.

At the end of the bright landing you’ll find the family bathroom with bath and shower. All upstairs bedrooms have their own radiators.

🌳 Step outside…

This is where countryside living really comes into its own.

Fire up the BBQ, enjoy breakfast overlooking the surrounding landscape or pour a drink and watch the sun disappear over the countryside.

When darkness falls, the rural setting provides wonderful opportunities for stargazing away from the bright lights of town. Keep an eye out for some of the area’s wildlife too – you may spot rabbits, foxes and magnificent red kites soaring overhead.

There’s also ample free private parking, making Llwynbrain particularly convenient for larger groups travelling in several cars.

🥾🚴 Beaches, walking, cycling & family adventures

Llwynbrain makes a superb base for exploring Carmarthenshire. Walkers can discover beautiful sections of the Wales Coast Path, including the spectacular coastal route around Pendine, while nearby Laugharne offers Dylan’s Walk alongside its famous literary connections. Carmarthenshire’s coast path takes in cliffs, beaches, dunes, estuaries and woodland.

Spend a day on the huge sandy expanse of Pendine Sands Beach, explore the pretty seaside village of Llansteffan and climb to Llansteffan Castle for beautiful views across the Tywi Estuary, or visit historic Laugharne and Castell Talacharn / Laugharne Castle. Carmarthenshire’s coastline offers everything from traditional beach days and rock pooling to coastal walks and paddleboarding.

Cyclists and mountain bikers are especially well catered for. Carmarthenshire has more than 20 mapped road cycling routes, along with traffic-free family routes and forest mountain-bike trails. More adventurous riders can head to Brechfa Forest, home to trails ranging from easier rides to challenging red and black routes.

Families looking for a full day out can venture a little further to Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, while nature lovers have miles of countryside and coastline to discover.

And when you want a little more civilisation, Carmarthen offers supermarkets, shops, restaurants, cafés and entertainment before you retreat back to the peace and quiet of Llwynbrain.

Access to Llwynbrain Farm House is via a gravel track, all part of its wonderfully rural setting. A precise what3words location can be provided before your stay to make finding us easy.

The nearest shop is approximately a 10-minute drive away, so we recommend picking up your essentials before settling in.

Fresh bed linen and towels are provided. If you’re planning a trip to one of the beautiful local beaches, please bring your own beach towels, as the towels supplied at the farmhouse are for indoor use only.

Travelling as an even bigger group? Two additional properties are available nearby, making Llwynbrain an excellent option for extended-family gatherings and larger parties. The Parlour is available to book separately, while another one-bedroom property, with its own kitchen, dining area and bathroom, is also available on request, pop us an enquiry and we can send the link for all three properties together.

We love welcoming well-behaved dogs to Llwynbrain Farm House and hope they enjoy their countryside holiday just as much as you do! 🐶🌳

To help us keep the farmhouse beautiful and comfortable for everyone, we kindly ask that you remember:

* 🐾 Dogs must not be left unattended in the property at any time.
* 🛋️ Dogs are not permitted on sofas or other furniture.
* 🛏️ Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on beds under any circumstances. This is particularly important for guests who may suffer from allergies.
* 🧹 Please clean up any excess dog hair before departure. A vacuum cleaner is provided for your convenience.
* 💩 Please clean up after your dog outside and dispose of waste responsibly.
* 🌳 As Llwynbrain is surrounded by working countryside, please keep dogs under close control and do not allow them to enter neighbouring fields or disturb livestock or wildlife.
* 🐕 Please ensure muddy paws are cleaned before coming inside.
